Text Box: Following collaborations were settled during the project:     Lublin University of Technology, Lublin, POLAND host of the researcher for 18 months in a previous Marie Curie Transfer of Knowledge project; cooperation in fracture of ceramic matrix composites; Digital Image Correlation investigations on subinterface crack paths and parallel cracks; a new project FP7-REGPOT-2009-1 No. 245479 coordinated by Prof. Tomasz Sadowski has a task in twinning between Lublin University of Technology and POLITEHNICA University of Timisoara.     Loughborough University, Loughborough, UK asymptotic stress field for elastic and elasto-plastic free edge joints;     Ovidius University, Constanta, ROMANIA analytical solutions using complex functions for stress field around bi-material joints and cracks;     West University, Timisoara, ROMANIA using the shooting method for solving finding the stress singularity at bi-material joints and cracks.
